Ryan, a seasoned picture editor with over 25 years of experience, has collaborated with filmmakers and studio leadership across various storytelling mediums, including animation, live-action, and documentaries. His work has been showcased in theatrical features, television series, and award-winning long-form projects.
One of J.D.’s notable collaborations was as Picture Editor on the highly successful animated feature TMNT (2007), which achieved significant box-office success. This collaboration paved the way for further collaborations with senior creative leadership at the studio and filmmaker level, including working alongside George Lucas. J.D.’s diverse portfolio encompasses animated and live-action features, animated television series, documentaries, and short-form projects. He is renowned for his ability to shape story, performance, and pacing in director-facing, notes-driven environments.
Currently, J.D. is open to new opportunities in both animation and live-action, having extensive experience in both fields and a strong desire to continue his work in each.
